ECNO Advisory Committee (EAC)
The ECNO Advisory committee's primary responsibility is to provide advice pertaining to the use of information technology in ECNO member boards. Committee members are selected from ECNO member School Board Information Technology management staff and appointed by the Board of Directors. The EAC addresses the following for the benefit of the member school boards:
- Establish priorities, standards, procedures and guidelines and make recommendations to the Board
- Negotiate and review contracts and agreements for Board approval
- Review products and services and provide advice and recommendations
- Review and provide advice on the strategic direction for the modification, support, sun setting, replacement and procurement of ECNO products and services
- Review product and service offerings for endorsement and make recommendations
- Advise the Board on issues and solutions around the use of information technology in school boards
- Manage the (EAC) allocation of product enhancement fund and make recommendations to the Board as to the use of the balance of the enhancement fund
- Participate and provide input into the Strategic Planning process for the organization
- Liaise with the ECNO Conference Committee
- Liaise with the ECNO Product Advisory Committees (PAC)
