Empowering Ontario School Boards with Cloud-Based Solutions
ECNO Shared Technology Services (STS) is dedicated to revolutionizing the way Ontario school boards deliver technical services and support to their diverse user base of over 600,000 students. By providing a robust cloud-based environment for Windows-based software distribution, STS has become the go-to solution for more than 30 School Boards in Ontario. This creative ECNO initiative has brought over 400 engaging educational applications to a cloud-based library available to all Ontario educators and students. Some of these applications include OSAPAC and Board licensed academic and administrative software.
Addressing the Challenges of Modern Education
In an era of rapidly evolving technology, schools face the challenge of supporting an increasing number of devices and users. With the surge of mobile technologies and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) practices, IT resources are stretched to their limits. STS was born to tackle these challenges head-on, helping school boards streamline software deployment, enhance virtual technologies, and foster collaboration among member boards.
Empowering Ontario Educators with a Rich Library of Applications
STS takes pride in providing a vast library of over 400 engaging educational applications, including OSAPAC and Board licensed academic and administrative software. This cloud-based resource is readily accessible to all educators and students across Ontario, enhancing the learning experience and empowering teachers to make a difference in the classroom.
Collaboration and Support for Member Boards
At STS, collaboration is at the heart of our mission. We actively encourage member boards to share their technology needs, enabling us to explore implementation and adoption of best practices. From working on projects like Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Modern Infrastructure (RDmi) to managing iOS and non-Windows devices through Microsoft’s Intune, our team is committed to supporting you on your digital journey.
Expanding User Communities and Tech Micro Communities
We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our STS User Community to include other tech-based micro-communities based on the interests and needs of individual District School Boards (DSBs). This initiative aims to foster a thriving ecosystem where educators and IT professionals can exchange ideas, share experiences, and discover innovative solutions.
Facilitating Projects and Technical Resourcing
STS is dedicated to providing a seamless experience for our member boards. We are working diligently to implement a searchable, curated artifacts repository and DSB technical profile database. Additionally, we are developing a facilitation and matching system for projects, training, support assistance, and technical resourcing models to optimize project and support work.
Continuing Innovations and Risk-Free Pilot Projects
In our pursuit of excellence, STS is committed to ongoing research and development. We aim to introduce new services and conduct risk-free pilot projects to explore cutting-edge technologies that can further benefit our member boards.
We take pride in empowering educators and students with the latest technology, facilitating a collaborative community, and enhancing your overall digital journey. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to working hand-in-hand with you to transform education in Ontario.
